Gene Berger

Gene Berger, 1957-58 Yale-IFEL Chinese linguist who served with the USAFSS at the 6929th RSM, Osan AB, Korea in 1958  and on the island of PY-Do, Korea in 1959, and became a jet fighter pilot in Viet Nam, was diagnosed recently with inoperable stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  The prognosis is 3-6 months, or with some treatments possibly 6 to 9 months.

As of 4 January 2019, he is under hospice care and appreciates all the well-wishes. He would appreciate any calls from his friends.  419-564-3963.

He does not mind your telling anyone who may be interested in his situation, but does not want to post anything to Facebook or other social media sites.  Posting on USAFSS or Yale restricted sites is fine with Gene.  Please keep Gene and his family in your thoughts and prayers during the next several months.
